The Philippine Air Force has confirmed that it plans to increase its fleet of A-29 Super Tucano light fighters to 24 units.
The country currently has six units of the Embraer aircraft, the expectation is that another 12 will be delivered by 2022 and the last six in 2024.
All six Super Tucano aircraft ordered by the Philippine Air Force (PAF) have been officially delivered on 14 October 2020.

In all, six A-29 Super Tucanos were purchased, which will be used in close air missions, in addition to replacing units of the US-made Rockwell OV-10 “Bronco” aircraft.
To date, the A-29 Super Tucano has been selected by 15 air forces worldwide.
