The Philippine Air Force (PAF) received a second-hand C-130H Hercules aircraft from the US that was used by the USAF.
The aircraft landed at Brigadier General Benito N Ebuen Air Base, in Lapu-Lapu city, Cebu province, on the last day (29/01). The aircraft will carry out its logistical missions for the PAF's 220th Air Wing.
Before being delivered, the C-130H in question underwent a refurbishment, gaining an avionics upgrade.
The PAF is expected to receive a second second-hand USAF C-130 Hercules later this year.
The new aircraft will replace the old PAF C-130Bs. In addition to the new C-130Hs, the Philippines operates two C-130Ts.
