After a good delay, the Ilyushin IL-62 finally visited Galeão Airport in Rio de Janeiro. The aircraft landed this Friday (10/09) at dawn.
The aircraft flew RDA-1532, departing from Tripoli, Libya, and heading straight from Galeão to Banjul, Gambia, a technical stopover before delivering the cargo to Sudan. The IL-62 has already left Rio de Janeiro.

In civil operation, the Ilyushin IL-62 is extremely rare. The aircraft of the company RADA Airlines, which operates based in Belarus, is one of the few in activity today.
The Soviet-designed aircraft is known for its unusual look for today's times, with four Soviet-era engines located in the tail, which has a basic T-shape.
Currently, the company uses the plane to transport cargo. In the case of this flight, weapons were produced in Brazil for Sudan.
