This past Sunday afternoon (09), a small Cessna 172H plane crashed into a enger train in Pacoima, a city in Los Angeles in California.
The aircraft experienced electrical problems shortly after takeoff at around 14:30 pm local time and had to make a landing on the train tracks at an intersection with a carriageway. The Cessna 172H registration N8056L was with only the pilot as occupant.
The only victim was heroically rescued by Los Angeles police with multiple bruises. The rescue, carried out efficiently and quickly, helped to preserve the life of the 70-year-old pilot, who is reportedly in stable health. There was no information on whether the pilot suffered trauma after the accident.

The FAA and NTSB will launch an investigation into the possible failures of the aircraft. There was no start of fire and there were no injuries on the train.
