Maringá City Hall prepares installation of photovoltaic energy at the Airport

This week the Municipality of Maringá presented a project to install in the Airport of the city photovoltaic energy s to switch the electric power system on site.

This will provide savings of approximately 80% of the R$ 100, on average, that are paid on the monthly electricity bill at the airport. The system should be installed by the end of the year.

Airport superintendent Fernando Rezende informs that the project is ready. Next will be the analysis of the budget, fundraising at the Regional Development Bank (BRDE) and the opening of a tender to hire a company for the works.

The photovoltaic energy s will be installed near the Fire Fighting Section (SCI). Sustainable energy will be used for lighting, air conditioning, beaconing, equipment, among others.

This is one of the improvements at the Airport aimed at expanding services and business opportunities for local companies. The runway has already been renovated and expanded, as well as the installation of a Federal Police base and equipment. And soon the enger Terminal will be expanded, will have the installation of the landing system Instrument Landing System (ILS), the creation of a cargo terminal, among other works and improvements.

In May, at Expoingá, an agreement with BRDE was signed on projects that relate economy, sustainability and security. One of the first projects with photovoltaic energy under the istration of Ulisses Maia was the installation of 64 poles with street and avenue nameplates.
