Santarém Airport (PA) receives visit from representatives of Infraero and MInfra

Infraero's Director of Operations and Technical Services, André Luiz Fonseca, and the Deputy Secretary of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Carlos Prado, in addition to other authorities, visited Santarém Airport/Maestro Wilson Fonseca (PA).

On that occasion, the recovery work for one of the airport's landing and take-off runways was delivered, and the other entrance is in the completion phase of the service. The improvement, which received an investment of R$ 4,62 million, included the demolition of the old headboards, adjustment of the base for the slabs and reconstruction of the concrete slabs.

Infraero's Director of Operations and Technical Services emphasized that the investments made will add value to the Santarém terminal. “In addition to ensuring quality, comfort, and safety of operations and engers, the airport will have a structure that is increasingly in line with the requirements of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac)”, he added.

For the National Deputy Secretary of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Infrastructure, “The investment by the Ministry of Infrastructure makes it possible to qualify the safety of air transport operations, benefiting engers and favoring connectivity in the region”.

With the capacity to serve up to 1,8 million engers per year, Santarém Airport is open 24 hours a day and receives operations from the airlines Azul, Azul Conecta, Gol and Latam.
