When they arrive, the fleet will increase to four units of the aircraft. However, the total fleet of P-8 Poseidon aircraft for the RAF will be nine aircraft.

The British P-8 Poseidon will be equipped with Mk54 anti-submarine torpedoes, in addition to other weapons.

The two aircraft already delivered, are already operating in some Royal Air Force missions, such as the English Channel.
