Real Aviation talks about 100% electric operations at Ground Handling International

Real Aviation Ground Handling Lecture

The experience of operating 100% electric at Confins International Airport, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, will lead to Royal Aviation for Ground Handling International, a conference taking place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from November 29th to December 1st. Real Aviation will be the only Brazilian ground services company to participate as a speaker at the event.

Within the sustainability , the theme “Resuming 100% electricity – a Latin American story” will be addressed by the Quality and Safety coordinator, Paulo Vinycius de Andrade Santos. The intention is to share how all the planning and development of the pioneering project in Latin America took place and the participation of the agents involved. The will also address operational efficiency in electrical operations and answer questions such as the validity of electrical equipment in activities such as pushback.

“We will show how the electrical operation in Confins brought efficiency in several aspects, such as cost reduction and operational optimization. In addition, we will talk about the interaction and performance of the different protagonist agents in this initiative. We will also show the importance of an increasingly electric ramp and the benefits for companies, employees and, above all, for the environment”, says Paulo Vinycius.     

For the CEO of Real Aviation, Adriano Bruno, the company's differential was being able to carry out a 100% electric operation. “It is very rare for an airport to have a fully electric operation, which is why Real Aviation was a pioneer in Latin America. Even around the world it is difficult to achieve electric fullness and we are collaborating globally to reduce CO2 emissions”, he says.
