In the first half, Brazilian travelers paid attention to the best time to find cheaper tickets and travel for less
Planning and buying airline tickets in advance means traveling more economically. A new survey of KAYAK, a travel metasearch engine, pointed out that the average price of domestic flights is 58% lower for purchases made a little more than a month in advance. International flights, in turn, are up to 47% cheaper for purchases made about 4 months in advance.
The data from KAYAK were based on the values found in the month of July 2021, where the highest average value of tickets on domestic flights was recorded the day before the trip (R$ 1.766) and the lowest 33 days before departure (R$ 749) . The research took into the search for flights from any Brazilian city to any domestic destination.
International indices, departing from any airport in Brazil and heading to any country, also show that the day before the trip is usually the most expensive to buy tickets (average of R$ 5.722) and the lowest was ed just over three months before the trip (R$ 3.006).

Lower prices have increasingly made travelers one step ahead when planning their trips. According to KAYAK, in the first half of 2021, 20% of Brazilians searched for tickets 15 to 30 days before traveling to a national destination. When the destination was international, 37% of platform s sought flights more than 91 days in advance over the first half of the year. In both cases, these are precisely the periods in which KAYAK recorded the lowest average values.

If you are going to travel outside Brazil, it is always good to pay attention to the chosen destination. As the restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19 can be changed, often without prior notice, the recommendation is to constantly check the Restrictions Map and see which countries, restaurants, airports, activities and more are open for tourism.
