In the video that we can see below, UAC presents the new Ilyushin plane as a flexible turboprop, capable of carrying engers, cargo, or a mixture that we call “Combi Configuration”.

In addition, it is possible to check the distribution of systems on the curious low-wing aircraft, which takes advantage of the standard airframe of the IL-114 to offer significant upgrades to avionics and engines.

In all, the IL-114-300 should have space for up to 68 engers, with avionics inspired by the SSJ-100, the regional jet manufactured by Sukhoi.

Production is restarting to meet regional domestic transport demand, particularly in remote areas, and to replace older Antonov planes used on these routes. The goal is to make the aircraft available to customers from 2022.

The IL-114-300 represents a further step in the systematic conversion of Russian military technologies to civil aviation. The aircraft has potential for countries that focus on developing local and regional air traffic.
