Salvador Airport gains more flight options to Buenos Aires

Salvador Airport flights Argentina GOL

As of December 3, the Salvador airport will now have one more flight option to Buenos Aires. GOL Linhas Aéreas will resume its route to the city, which was suspended due to the pandemic. The company will offer a weekly one-way service, on Saturdays, to Aeroparque airport. The aircraft returns to Salvador, coming from Argentina, on Sundays.

GOL's operation will be added to that of Aerolíneas Argentinas, which already offers a flight twice a week between the capital of Bahia and the capital of Argentina. As of October, the offer will be doubled to four matches. In December, the number of trips between the two cities will increase to six times a week, demonstrating the strong recovery trend of the route. Thus, flights will take place from Sunday to Friday.

Marcus Campos, Marketing and Air Promotion Manager at Salvador Bahia Airport highlighted: “VINCI Airports has been working closely with airlines to resume this route at its full potential and we are close to reaching the pre-pandemic offer. Argentina is traditionally the biggest source of foreign tourists to Salvador, who either enjoy the city's attractions or make connections to other destinations in the state. This demand is also heated in the opposite direction, since due to exchange rate issues and ease of access, they have become one of the most attractive countries for Brazilians to visit”.
