The management of the Santo Ângelo Regional Airport will be carried out by Infraero – a federal state company that manages 18 terminals in the country. The State government and the company formalized a contract on Friday (7/10), published in the Official State Gazette on Monday (10/10). For the state government, signed the Secretary of Logistics and Transport, Luiz Gustavo de Souza.
As of the signature, the management of the Sepé Tiaraju airport, in Santo Ângelo, becomes the responsibility of Infraero. The state-owned company already manages seven terminals under contract in the country, one of them being in o Fundo. The agreement contemplates the provision of technical services for airport management and operation, rescue and firefighting services, routine tasks essential to the operation of the terminal, as well as compliance with the requirements established in laws and regulations. The negotiations involved discussions about the responsibilities of the State and the company.
The State government, as a contracting party, in addition to paying the amount stipulated in the contract for the assignment of airport management, will be responsible for providing the appropriate facilities related to infrastructure - runway, patio, beaconing, navigation aid facilities, inspection equipment ( x-ray), as well as furniture and vehicles and other fire-fighting equipment. And it must arrange the security system and obtain the environmental licenses for the operation of the terminal, as well as the investments necessary for the improvement and modernization of the airport, among other obligations.
Infraero will be responsible for maintaining the structure and for activities such as airport security, mandatory training, operational security (SGSO), cleaning and conservation, maintenance, information technology, among others. In addition to taking over the airport operation, which includes actions such as supervision, inspection and inspection, the state-owned company will be able to sell internal and external areas to business activities.
The company will carry out all the financial management, which includes the implementation of Sucotap – an integrated system of norms, procedures, resources (human, technological and financial) and control instruments for airport management. The system will be used to process, charge, collect and transfer the collected amount to the , with the airport fees for boarding, landing, stay and connection of the operations carried out at the airport, in accordance with the regulation. The period for providing the services is 24 months, which may be extended for an equal period up to a limit of 60 months.
