The second Global 7000, from the Canadian manufacturer Bombardier, began its test flights on March 4th of that month. The test flight of the second Global 7000 model lasted about 4 hours and 28 minutes.
During the flight a series of tests were carried out, including the propulsion systems, the electrical and mechanical systems, as well as a performance test at an altitude of 43000 feet. “Both of these flight tests will further complement the Canadian manufacturer's new executive jet project,” said François Caza, vice president of production and engineering at the company.

Bombardier's proposal in the Global 7000 model is competition with the American Gulfstream, which has models like the G650 and G650ER. Bombardier's strategy is to compete in of autonomy with Gulfstream, the new Global 7000 has an autonomy of around 7400nm (13700 km), this is the aircraft with the longest autonomy of the Canadian company.
The certification and entry into service of the Global 7000 is expected in 2018. Bombardier already has projects for the Global 8000, an aircraft that will be based on the tests carried out on the Bombardier Global 7000.
