At the invitation of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), the United States Air Force will participate in Exercise Cruzeiro do Sul CRUZEX VII between November 18th and 30th in Natal.
Six Texas Air National Guard F-16 Falcons and a Washington Air National Guard KC-135 Stratotanker will participate in the exercise. Approximately 130 US military personnel will participate in the event.

This edition of CRUZEX brings together around 100 aircraft from 14 countries: Brazil, Canada, Chile, , Peru, Uruguay and the USA will participate with personnel and planes. Bolivia, India, Sweden, United Kingdom and Venezuela will participate as observers.
CRUZEX is an aerial combat exercise. US aircraft will train alongside partner nation aircraft in simulated scenarios for potential events around the world, including for peacekeeping and stability operations, for civilian authorities during humanitarian response operations, and assistance to countries after a disaster. Yesterday (15/11) a US Air Force C-17 appeared in Natal (RN), possibly transporting cargo to the exercise and transporting 40 soldiers on board.
The US Air Force has already participated in CRUZEX in 2010 and 2013. The Exercise is the largest t multinational air combat event carried out by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) – which also includes the Brazilian Army and Navy.
