The Chilean airline SKY has just announced its new Rio de Janeiro – Montevideo route, which will begin operating from December 16, 2024, with four weekly frequencies.
This new direct route, which seeks to connect engers from both countries in a flight of just 3 hours, will initially operate during the summer season, where it is expected to transport more than 5 thousand people per month, thus promoting connectivity and tourism between Uruguay and Brazil.
“With this launch, we hope engers will have more options to fly directly between these two cities. Furthermore, we seek to continue strengthening the SKY brand in both countries, allowing more engers to enjoy the tourist attractions of the Uruguayan capital and the Brazilian city with affordable prices on the best low cost airline in South America”, comments Carmen Gloria Serrat, Director SKY Airline commercial.
Starting today, engers will be able to buy their tickets at www.skyairline.com, where you will find promotional fares until July 19th with a 45% discount, from R$ 1.117 round trip, including boarding fees.
Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, located on the banks of the River Plate, is a cosmopolitan city that combines Spanish colonial architecture with modern buildings. Its tourist attractions stand out, such as the Historic District, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where the Citadel and the Citadel Gate are located.
