Embraer today announced a firm order from SkyWest for 25 E-Jets. The order is valued at US$1,1 billion, based on current list prices, and will be included in Embraer's third-quarter 2017 backlog. All 25 aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2018.
Of the 25 aircraft, SkyWest will receive 15 E175 SC (Special Configuration) jets, which means a configuration of 70 seats. The E175 SC plane has the same structure as the E175, and may in the future be adapted for 76 seats. SkyWest will also receive 10 E175 jets in a 76-seat configuration, identical to aircraft previously ordered by SkyWest.
Including this contract, Embraer has sold more than 360 E175 jets to airlines in North America since January 2013, achieving more than 80% of all orders in the 76-seat jet category.
Since entering service, the E-Jets family has received more than 1.700 orders, of which more than 1.300 have already been delivered. The aircraft are flying in fleets of 70 customers from 50 countries. This versatile family of 70- to 130-seat jets flies in the livery of low-cost, regional and mainline airlines.
