The launch of the Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket was carried out from the Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) launch pad. It was the 10th time that the rocket was used by SpaceX, exceeding the technical limit established in the project, and proving the reliability of the F9.

Approximately nine minutes after liftoff, the rocket's first stage returned to Earth, landing on SpaceX droneship for its tenth successful landing.

With this launch, SpaceX also reached 90 successful landings of the rocket on PADs on land or using the droneship, in the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean. The first landing “that worked” for SpaceX was performed in December 2015.

The base of Vandenberg is famous for almost always having a heavy cloud of fog that covers the area and makes visibility difficult. The phenomenon was evident during the live broadcast, which you can check below.
