Venezuela's state airline, Conviasa, will soon receive its first Boeing 747-300 cargo ship. The aircraft already has the colors of its subsidiary Emtrasur and is at Mehrabad Airport in Iran.
The aircraft will receive the Venezuelan registration YV-3531, the 747-year-old 'jumbo' 36 was originally delivered to the French company UTA. Still with the same F-GETA registration, it operated from 1992 to 2007 for Air .
In 2007 the 'jumbo' started to operate by Mahan Air and received registration EP-MND. Conviasa's Emtrasur will be the first company to operate this 747 in cargo transport, it has been used as a enger plane throughout its entire life.

South America will once again have a Boeing 747 operator after nine years, Aerolíneas Argentinas was the last company to have the 'jumbo' in its fleet. The Argentine company retired its copies in 2013.
The new YV-3531 has more than 84 flight hours and 14 cycles in its entire operational life.
