The connection, which has two daily flights, will be operated by two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with a total capacity for 293 engers distributed between first class, business class and economy.

The service was previously carried out using an aircraft from the airline HiFly, under a wet lease, due to the maintenance of TAAG's international fleet, specifically, the Boeing 777 300ER model.

“We want to thank HiFly for their collaboration during the period of validity of this agreement, which ensured the reinforcement of our operation and the smooth functioning of a priority route for TAAG. The Luanda-Lisbon service plays an important role on several levels, from economic dynamism to social cohesion, and this solution represented a commitment, together with HiFly, to guarantee a reliable and efficient service to our engers”, highlights Nelson de Oliveira, PCE from TAAG.

Portugal is one of the preferred destinations and the gateway to Europe for many engers, including tourists, families and business people, from Angola, Africa and South America. At the same time, Angola positions itself as an important hub to receive and redirect traffic coming from Portugal to the various destinations in the south, west and center of the African continent.
