Taiwan operates with fighters for the first time on local road as a strategic way

The Taiwan Air Force did something unusual, it placed three of its main fighters on a road as a strategy for an immediate takeoff if there was any action by China against the country, since both nations share a border.

In an aerial photo we were able to observe three models of fighters operated by Taiwan, an F-16 Fighting Falcon, a Mirage-2000-5 and a locally manufactured IDF fighter. The fighters were accompanied by an E-2C Hawkeye AEW radar plane, the same used by the US Navy on its aircraft carriers.

President Tsai Ing-wen was present and accompanied the military exercise from birth, after the end Tsai Wen gave a speech, in his speech he said that: “Despite the challenging mission, we all worked together to achieve the goal. This demonstrates the defense capability and reliability of Taiwan's armed forces."

A novelty was the use of the first modernized F-16 fighters. Taiwan has been modernizing since 2016 its F-16 fighters from A/B to V (Viper) versions, the value of this modernization is US$ 3,68 billion.

Taiwan has an old and tumultuous diplomatic relationship with China, the main reason is the territory and Taiwan that China recognizes its independence, as this is not so simple, the small Asian country arms itself and tries to create a solid defense industry, an example of this it is the AIDC F-CK-1 fighter, manufactured locally in partnership with the North American company General Dynamics, the fighter resembles the F-5 and the F-16, including equipment derived from the Falcons in the cockpit.
