classic Cessna planes

Continuing to celebrate your 60 years of history, TAM Executive Aviation, brings two relics to his hangar in Congonhas. It is the Cessna 195, manufactured in 1950, a classic of general aviation in the post-World War II period, which brought the comfort and luxury of an executive aircraft to piston models.

The Cessna 195 was acquired by João Amaro at an auction in Cuiabá, after 11 years abandoned at the city's airport. The plane was restored by Commander Rolim and, years later, inspired the creation of the Asas de um Sonho museum.

The Cessna 180-F, year 1963, a model that was hugely successful in Brazil, was widely used on farms and gold mines, where the runways were not paved. Its production ended in 1985, but even today it is common to see it operating in different activities.

This model, displayed in the TAM AE hangar, was donated by Commander Peri Igel and is the same as the aircraft used by Commander Rolim and João Amaro at the beginning of their careers.

These models will be available for customers to visit in Hangar 1, on TAM AE in the coming months. Recently, they have been used in institutional video recording of the company in celebration of its 60 years.

“It is a unique opportunity for our customers, aviation lovers, to have with these relics, in addition to knowing a little more about our history. We are very honored”, explains Leonardo Fiuza, president of TAM AE.
