Thales is accepting applications for free professional qualification courses. There are 25 places available for young people living near the company's units and who have a per capita income of up to one minimum wage per person.
The initiative is the result of an agreement signed between the company and Formare, a professional qualification program for young people in socially vulnerable situations, from the Iochpe Foundation.

About the Iochpe Foundation: a non-profit organization that has maintained the Formare Program for 35 years, a benchmark in Brazil that provides professional training to young people in situations of economic and social vulnerability. Maintained in partnership with medium and large companies, it offers initial professional training courses for the job market to young people from low-income families enrolled in public high schools. In 35 years, through the work of volunteer educators, the program has trained more than 26 young people, and the rate of formal employment in the job market has reached 93% of graduates in the last ten years, according to a survey conducted by Plano CDE. The courses are certified by UTFPR (Federal Technological University of Paraná) here in Brazil and by UTSLP (Technological University of San Luis Potosí) and UTCH (Technological University of Chihuahua), both in Mexico.
