The Czar Bomb, from the Soviet Union, had the highest explosive power ever. It was created at the height of the Cold War, where we had ample competition between two world powers to create bombs and spacecraft even more powerful, and in the case of the first, destructive.
At that time, creating such a destructive bomb was aimed at intimidating countries that only attempted a military attack. We can say that the mega-bombs for a long time removed the risk of a real war between the USSR and the USA.
And recently Rosatom, an atomic agency in Russia, released a video showing the explosion of the Czar Bomb, with hydrogen fusion technology, and the power of 57 million tons of TNT.
The Czar Bomb combined technologies for the explosion of a nuclear bomb, by fission, with a secondary stage of hydrogen fusion through the energy of the first stage, an engineering work that was later considered to be used in Nuclear Power Plants.
To create a bomb with that power, but using nuclear fission fully, the final material would be quite heavy, due to the nature of the atoms. For this reason, the great powers opted for the hybrid solution, creating alternatives to achieve the fusion of hydrogen, obtained only at high temperatures.
This powerful bomb, the most powerful ever created, had the power to completely destroy anything within a 60 kilometer radius, or the entire city of Paris, with destruction in its surroundings as well. Its power was 700 times greater compared to the Hiroshima bomb, used in World War II.
O video has 40 minutes, but the bomb drop starts from the minute 22:00.

The incredible test in the video above took place on October 30, 1961. It was all conducted by Rosatom, based in an archipelago of Russia in the Arctic Circle. The scientists who developed it were predicting a cloud (mushroom) 40 km high, but this bomb reached 64 km high.
The bomb was dropped using a turboprop bomber, the Tupolev YOU-NOTHING, with the detonation occurring at 4 meters above the ground. Detail, the Czar Bomb was launched with a parachute, to enable the plane to safely move away from the detonation area.
Important to note some details in the video. The detonation, as well as the follow-up of the mission, was carried out from the ground by a team of technicians and engineers who coordinated the entire exercise together with the pilots, who spoke via UHF radio about the instructions in a totally timed time to give nothing away. wrong.
Despite the short period of light generated by the Czar Bomb, it can be seen from over 1000 kilometers away. Probably at the time someone noticed something different in the sky, as well as in the “possible earthquake” generated.
