Total Linhas Aéreas is close to receiving its first Boeing 737-400, this aircraft will receive registration PS-TLA. The plane is currently undergoing a complete conversion to a freighter.
Previously this plane flew under the registration SP-LLG on the Polish airline LOT Polish. LOT was also the same company to operate this aircraft, which was manufactured in 1997.
In an interview for Blog Caixa Preta, the president of Total Linhas Aéreas, Alfredo Mesiter, said that the aircraft should arrive in the second half of this month of March. This same aircraft will operate on a lease basis.
Alfredo also said in the interview that the aircraft will come unpainted and will be painted at Digex, the same place in São José dos Campos where Itapemirim is painting its aircraft.
Total also took the opportunity to carry out a systems update on the company's old Boeing 727s, which may indicate the continuity of this aircraft model in the fleet. Speaking of the fleet, Total intends to acquire two more ATRs, this time the 72-500 version.
The company intends to return to regular flights with these acquired aircraft. The process according to Alfredo is already running.
