A Total Cargo Boeing 727-200F, registration PR-TTO, was performing a cargo flight from Rio de Janeiro (GIG) to Vitória (VIX), on April 29th, with 3 crew when it suffered an incident, with an engine shutdown.
The aircraft was climbing to flight level FL240, already outside the territory of Rio de Janeiro, when engine number 3 suffered compressor stops, lost thrust and showed an increase in oil temperature.
The crew went through the related checklists and stopped the engine. The aircraft continued the flight to Vitória with two engines remaining, making a safe landing.
CENIPA reported that there were no injuries or damage to the aircraft, and no investigation was opened.
