Named Turkey's Most Valuable Company in 2023 for the 6th consecutive year, Turkish Airlines continues to "fly high". The title was disclosed by Brand Finance, an international organization leader in brand evaluation, in the survey “TURKEY100 – Türkiye's Most Valuable Brands”.
The company solidified its ranking position by increasing its value from US$1.6 billion in 2022 to US$2.02 billion, representing growth of 26%.
Regarding the title, the chairman of the board and the executive committee of Turkish Airlines, Prof. doctor Ahmet Bolat declared:
“We are proud to be Turkey's most valuable brand for the sixth consecutive time. We will continue to take our brand, which represents the wings of Turkey as dreamed of 90 years ago, to even greater heights. I thank all my colleagues who contributed to this success.”
With a 13% increase in enger capacity, compared to 2022, and total occupancy of 81,8%, Turkish Airlines also released its May results for the company.
Some of the highlights of the report were the 16% increase in engers compared to the same period of the previous year and the 29% increase, a total of 31 million, also in the number of engers when compared to the period of the first five months of the year 2023 and 2022.

According to May 2023 traffic results;
- The number of engers transported increased by 16% compared to the same period in 2022 and reached 7,4 million. The load factor for international flights was 82%, while the load factor for domestic flights was 80,7%.
- The number of international engers transported increased by 22,2%, from 1,9 million in 2022 to 2,3 million in this period.
- Available seat kilometers (ASK) increased by 13% to 19,9 billion during the May 2023 period, compared to 17,6 billion in the same period of 2022.
- Cargo/mail carried during the period of May 2023 decreased by 6,6% to 134,5 thousand tons, from 144 thousand tons in the same period of 2022.
According to traffic results from January to May 2023;
- The total number of engers increased by 29% to 31 million compared to the same period in 2022.
- The number of international engers to international destinations carried increased by 49% to 11,6 million, from 7,8 million in the same period of 2022.
- Total load factor increased by 7,5 points to 81,1% compared to the same period in 2022. International load factor was 81,2% while domestic load factor was 80,2% .
- Available seat kilometers (ASK) increased by 25,8%, jumping from 71,9 billion to 90,4 billion in the same period of 2022.
- Cargo/message transported during this period decreased by 9,6% to 608,1 thousand tons, from 672,8 thousand tons in the same period of 2022.
- By the end of May 2023, the number of aircraft in the fleet was 417.
