Having belonged to the Swarovski family, known for its luxury jewelry brand, and an investment fund, Tyrolean Jet Service, based in the Austrian city of Innsbruck, has confirmed that Gama Aviation, from the United Kingdom, is close to completing the acquisition of the company.
According to Tyrolean, the transaction will be finalized within a few days, without prejudice to its current Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and its brand, even after the integration.
“Our aim is to preserve the history and standards of Tyrolean Jet Services. (…) With this in mind, we have absolutely no intention of discontinuing the Tyrolean Jet Services brand, quite the opposite in fact,” said Graham Williamson, Managing Director of Gama Aviation.
The company intends to use the structure and operation of Tyrolean Jet Service as a reference for other aircraft management and charter brands in the group, which include niche companies in the executive aviation segment.
It currently operates seven aircraft ed in Austria: a Citation Jet 1+, two Citation Jet 2s, a Citation XLS+, a Falcon 900EX, a Global 5000 and a Phenom 300E.
