Commander Loreto LATAM

TAM is certainly a company known by all Brazilians. Founded by Rolim Amaro in 1961 as Táxi Aéreo Marília, the company expanded rapidly by investing in a strategy of serving the regional market with smaller planes.

Commander Loreto is one of the people who helped the growth of this company, currently known as LATAM after the merger in 2012. The pilot entered on November 03, 1978 in FULL, and participated in a large part of its history.

Throughout his 43-year career in aviation, Loreto piloted the first TAM Embraer Bandeirantes, in the 70s, ing through the Fokker 27/50, Fokker 100 and A320 family, where he made his last flight on March 21st.

It was on the Airbus A320 registration PR-MBH that Loreto made his last flight, on the traditional Ponte Aérea, between Santos Dumont (RJ) and Congonhas Airport (SP), on March 21st. At the age of 65, Commander Loreto left his pilot post after four decades operating flights.

And to honor the pilot who contributed to its history, LATAM produced a special video. Check below:

To Commander Loreto, the entire AEROFLAP team wishes good flights in this new phase of life. Thank you so much for 43 years transporting millions of engers safely to their destinations.
