Helvetic Airways should be the newest customer of the Embraer E190-E2, and Embraer has already announced the painting of the new aircraft that the company will receive in the coming months.
The video was recorded in Embraer's special paint hangar, located in São José dos Campos (SP). In it we can observe the process of the Brazilian manufacturer of painting without the final assembly of the aircraft, reducing the necessary space and facilitating the process, which accelerates the manufacture of aircraft without increasing the necessary physical area.
The company should be the 4th airline that will operate with an aircraft from the Embraer E-Jet E2 family, and the 3rd that will operate with the E190-E2, which will also be incorporated on Swiss Airlines flights.
Helvetic already uses first-generation E-Jet aircraft, with a total of 11 aircraft in the fleet. The company ordered 12 E190-E2 aircraft to replace its current E190-E1.
Azul should receive its first E195-E2, which is almost finished, before Helvetic Airways received the first E190-E2 of its fleet, so the company should be the 4th operator of the second generation.
