The hottest season of the year arrives with good news at Vitória Airport, operated since January by the Zurich Airport group. One of the most awaited novelties by capixabas is the return of direct flights to Recife. The route will be available from December 8th, six times a week, by Azul Linhas Aéreas.
In addition to the regular route, the airport will have four exclusive routes in the summer period: Governador Valadares, Ilhéus, Porto Seguro and one more flight option to Salvador:
- Governador Valadares, from December 19th, twice a week, until January 2st;
- Ilhéus, from January 2nd, 3x a week, until January 31st;
- Porto Seguro, from January 2nd, 3x a week, until January 31st;
- Salvador, from January 1st, from Monday to Saturday, until February 1st.
All routes will be offered by Azul Linhas Aéreas.
With this, Vitória Airport plans to recover 87% of its handling, considering the period from December 2019 to March 2020 in the comparison, and will now operate to nine airports. They are: Brasília, Belo Horizonte-Confins, Congonhas, Galeão, Guarulhos, Recife, Salvador, Santos Dumont and Viracopos.

Also during the season, four new establishments will open at Vitória Airport, improving the experience of those ing through the terminal.
Recently, the Espírito Santo clothing store Origens inaugurated a kiosk of the brand, in the arrivals and departures area. In December, the novelty is due to the opening of the PUB and beer house Casa 107, in addition to the sweet shop Dedo de Moça.
In January 2021, the airport is expected to open a VIP Lounge for its engers. The area will be built by the Global Lounge Network, which has more than 26 years of experience in the civil aviation sector and is a reference in the development of lounges in airports around the world.
