In the midst of controversies involving Argentina and the new presidential plane, President Alberto Fernández made an official visit to Brasília with a classic Boeing 737, to meet with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The Boeing 737 used by Alberto Fernández is from the -500 series, and is part of the 'Classic' family of the American manufacturer's most successful jet.
The Boeing 737-500, which will now use registration number ARG-04, arrived in Brasília yesterday afternoon (02) around 15:30 pm, having taken off from Buenos Aires at Aeroparque. The plane received this new registration due to the new presidential jet, the $757 million Boeing 25 purchased in recent weeks.
This purchase has generated controversy due to the current financial situation of Argentina, which has not bought new fighter jets for its Air Force and has put up for sale its old Boeing 757 used on official trips by the president.

Currently, the special transport fleet of the Argentine Air Force It is made up of eight aircraft, two Boeing 737s, one from the -500 series with a painting alluding to the flag of Argentina and another from the -700 series with a more 'military' painting, all in gray.
The old Boeing 757-200 used by the president has not flown for more than seven years, it is no longer listed as an aircraft of the special transport squadron. Now the new 757 has received a painting similar to that of the Learjet 35 executive jet, with an allusion to the country's flag and a more elaborate and striking painting. There is also an almost 28-year-old Fokker F-50 and also five Saab 340s.
Alberto Fernández, president of Argentina, only visited the Federal Capital to meet with the Brazilian government. The Boeing 737-500 took off at the end of the morning of this Wednesday (03) towards Argentina.
