Increasingly closer to starting operations in Brazil, more Levu Air Cargo operational details were revealed, which will be in partnership with the giant DHL.
Initially, DHL Supply Chain will invest around R$480 million plus another R$530 million from LEVU to lease four aircraft.
With this, LEVU Air Cargo is expected to begin operations this May, beginning the era of the Airbus A321F in Brazil. LEVU will have a fleet of 4 aircraft, namely: two A321F units with a capacity of 27 tons and two A330Fs with a capacity of 59 tons, as reported in Valor Econômico.
The partnership introduces DHL into cargo operations in Brazil, prioritizing the foreign company's cargo on LEVU planes, being able to sell excess space. Finally, the cargo company will have initial flights on the Viracopos (Campinas) – Manaus route, daily, and Viracopos – Recife, with three departures per week. There are also plans to operate in Belém (BEL) and Porto Alegre (POA).
LEVU must complete its certification process with ANAC this month.
