Who has never dreamed of taking a photo at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, one of the most romantic symbols in the world? Or visit the Louvre Museum, which houses one of the most iconic works, the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci? Azul, the largest airline in of number of flights and destinations served in Brazil, inaugurated yesterday (26) its first regular flight to Paris, one of the most visited cities in Europe.
With the new route, Azul Customers fly nonstop between the airports of Viracopos, in Campinas, and Orly, in Paris, in just over 11 hours.
The flight is carried out by the Airbus A350, considered the most modern aircraft in the industry as it consumes 20% less fuel per seat and has high technical-operational efficiency. This aircraft has the capacity to transport up to 334 customers, 301 in economy class and 33 in business class. In addition, it is lighter, has a quieter and wider cabin, wider panoramic windows and more space in the luggage compartments.

With six weekly frequencies, the flights will depart from Viracopos International Airport, where the company already operates its largest hub, serving approximately 70 cities in the interior of São Paulo, at 23 pm, with scheduled arrival at Orly Airport at 15:30 pm. In the opposite direction, the flight will depart from Orly at 22:15, arriving in Campinas at 4:45.
To guarantee a unique experience for Customers, Azul will offer a menu produced exclusively by the famous French chef Claude Troisgros.
Dishes use Brazilian ingredients and classic French techniques. Those traveling in business class will receive a complete menu that includes a starter, main course and dessert. In economy, Customers will only receive the main dish.
All meals will be served at lunch and dinner and are divided into cycles. The first, offered in May, will feature a starter of Beetroot Tartare. The main dish will be a beautiful plated arapaima fillet, accompanied by manioc puree, roasted nanica banana and butter emulsion with raisins.
For dessert, a cheesecake with dulce de leche syrup and grated Minas cheese. Economy class will have antiboise chicken drumstick as the main course, accompanied by steamed broccoli and rice with parsley.
Paris-Orly Airport is the second largest in , with more than 30 million engers a year, and the closest to the city center, located less than 20 km south of Paris. Due to its proximity to the center, it is the most suitable airport for Brazilians who want to explore the history and beauties of the “city of lights” and surroundings. Orly is served by trains with metro connections, as well as public transport buses, taxis, transfers and urban mobility apps.

Operating at an airport like Orly was extremely strategic, considering that Azul is the first airline that allows its Customers from 150 destinations in Brazil to make a direct trip to , in a terminal much closer to the city center.
The Airbus A350
One of the most modern aircraft in the world, the Airbus A350 is equipped with state-of-the-art items that contribute to a lighter, more economical aircraft with high technical-operational efficiency.
Despite its size, the aircraft consumes about 20% less fuel per seat, integrating Azul's fleet modernization plan and reinforcing the company's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2045.
For Customers, the Airbus A350 offers even more comfort: on board, they will appreciate a quieter, wider cabin with wider panoramic windows and more space in the luggage compartments.
Blue in the international market
To connect the more than 150 Brazilian destinations served by Azul, the company also offers two daily flights to the airports of Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, in Florida (USA), and two daily and regular flights to Lisbon, all departing from Viracopos, in Campinas (SP).
There are also direct flights to Montevideo, Punta Del Este and Curaçao, departing from Confins, in Belo Horizonte.
“We are building a portfolio of international destinations that further enriches and complements our already large network here in Brazil”, points out John.
The company also made its biggest expansion in Minas Gerais, announcing a series of new internationals. Still in the first half of 2023, Azul will have weekly flights to Curaçao and Fort Lauderdale (USA), departing from BH Airport.
In the second half, the company will offer flights to Orlando from the capital of Minas Gerais. In the North region of Brazil, the company bets on direct connections between the cities of Belém, in Pará, and Manaus, in Amazonas, to North American airports.
Another destination that gained reinforcements in the Azul network was Uruguay. Since last year, the two weekly flights between Montevideo and Foz do Iguaçu (PR) are still available to Customers.
Florianópolis, in Santa Catarina, is also another connection option to the Uruguayan capital, which has operated during the high season, but will remain on a regular basis this year. Also to Montevideo, Azul has been offering two weekly direct flights departing from Recife, the company's main hub in the Northeast. It is worth ing that, since February 14, Azul started operations on the Recife-Fort Lauderdale route.
Blue experience in international travel
To consolidate itself as the company that offers the best experience in Brazil, even before starting your trip, Azul offers a Lounge Azul, located in the international area of Viracopos airport, in Campinas. In a space of 820m² with capacity for 240 people, the company offers home theater, showers, panoramic veranda, in addition to dozens of options for food and drinks.
On Azul Business, Customers have a full seat, with direct aisle access, personalized dining options and world-class in-flight entertainment.
Those flying in Economy class can also enjoy an improved legroom experience. Azul's A330 and A350 jets also feature the Panasonic eX3 entertainment system, one of the most advanced technological solutions on the market.
Televisions in all classes are 16 inches and are equipped with a remote control and have a touchscreen mode option. In all classes, video playback quality is in HD. The screens are equipped with a USB port, which serves, above all, to recharge mobile devices.
