A video that is circulating on the internet shows a MIG 31 interceptor escorting a TU-95MS bomber, both of Russian origin, when an F-16 fighter of the Royal Norwegian Air Force intercepts the aircraft.
In the video that was filmed from the MIG-31, it is possible to see that the Russian pilot accedes to the pilot of the F-16, giving a thumbs up
It is not known for sure when and where this meeting of the aircraft took place, it is believed that it was in international airspace, close to the territory of Norway.
Intercepts in this region and others are happening frequently, one of the most recent involving a US Navy P-8 Poseidon patrol plane, which was intercepted by a Russian SU-35 fighter. Another interception involving Norwegian fighters with Russian aircraft took place last month.
