Without operating directly, Avolon has 578 planes in its fleet

Avolon, an aircraft leasing company, recently released some details about its fleet of aircraft, as well as the impressive value of all of them.

According to Avolon, the company currently has a fleet of 578 aircraft, distributed among 146 customers through operating or financial leasing contracts. The total value of these planes is US$ 33,7 billion, considering the price of each one according to its time of use.

All these planes are ed in the name of Avolon, that is, if the customer fails to pay the lease, these planes are taken over by the leasing company.

Hainan Airlines, Lion Air, TAP, Garuda and IndiGo are in the TOP 5 among Avolon's main customers, accumulating a total of 121 Avolon aircraft operated by these five companies.

During the first quarter of 2021, Avolon finalized 31 lease transactions, including new aircraft leases. Of these, around 8 new aircraft were delivered to 6 of the company's customers, the other aircraft belonging to the previously existing fleet.

And the leasing company will continue to invest in its expansion. In the financial report for the 1st quarter of 2021, Avolon points out that it has orders for another 264 aircraft.
