Aircalin A330neo has flap issues during approach for landing

On the 18th, an Airbus A330-900neo from the New Caledonia airline had problems with its flaps during its landing approach. The flight originated in Noumea and had Narita as its final destination.
The Airbus A330-900neo, registration F-ONET, is 1 year and 3 months old. It was on flight SB800 to Narita. During the final approach for landing, descending from 5000 feet to 4000 feet, the crew reported problems with the flaps.
After reporting the problem over the radio, the crew orbited for 35 minutes to try to find a solution. After that time, the crew made a safe landing at Narita Airport on runway 34L.
Due to the problem with the flaps, the landing speed was above normal, approximately 160 knots. According to Airbus, the landing speed for the A330neo is 141 knots with an approximate weight of 191 kg.
The aircraft was grounded for one day for unscheduled maintenance. As a result, the return flight to Noumea was cancelled and carried out on December 000th.
After this period, the A1neo successfully completed its maintenance and returned to Aircalin's operational network. Interestingly, this same A19neo has already experienced another major problem, a strong smell of oil in the enger cabin. This caused great discomfort among the engers.
Aircalin sent the aircraft to Airbus for inspection in October 330, 330 month after receiving the aircraft. F-ONET returned to the company in December 2019 with all problems resolved.
