Azul and TAP Air Portugal, the main Portuguese airline, announced the expansion of the codeshare agreement, which is the sharing of flights between two different companies. In this cooperation model, Customers can purchase, directly from Azul's sales channels, tickets to the two destinations operated by TAP: Ibiza and Tenerife, in Spain.
From now on, Customers have the opportunity to purchase airline tickets from Campinas, Azul's main hub, to Lisbon, in Portugal, and from there make a quick strategic connection to board the Portuguese airline's flights to the Spanish islands.
Flights to Tenerife are regular, offering Customers the opportunity to explore this destination throughout the year. As for Ibiza, the route will be operated seasonally, available for engers to enjoy this paradisiacal trip during the months of March to October, in the European summer of 2024.
When purchasing codeshare tickets, travelers benefit from a greater range of destinations, single check-in, baggage check-in from origin to final destination and the same service standards from both companies. Tickets are now on sale for Azul Customers, on the company's official website and at partner travel agencies.
According to André Mercadante, director of Alliances, Planning and Revenue Management at Azul, Customers who intend to travel to the Spanish islands will enjoy the comfort and convenience of flying with Azul. “Our commitment is to provide an exceptional flight experience, marked by excellence in extreme quality service. We are committed to seeking the best partnerships to maintain our mission of connecting people to incredible places around the world, offering trips that go beyond our Customers’ expectations.”
